Designer Demna Gvasalia is no stranger to controversy or sparking dialogue. And so for his latest Vetements collection, which held a guest spot on the Couture Fashion Week line-up, granted by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, he broadcasted a message about stereotypes by boxing people in (versus breaking them) through dress and appearance, with a melting-post cast of real-world people from all walks of life (young, old, in all shapes, sizes, and races).

Interestingly enough, by highlighting these differences, it became something of a celebration of diversity (the invites spoke to this, as well), and thus, unity. After a rather tense, divisive season, this might just be the reminder we all need. Scroll through for the unofficial “stereotypes” from the Vetements show.
